Moraitika

The stunning shingle and sand beach of Moraitika makes it an extremely popular resort with watersports offering an exhilarating experience on the calm, shallow fringe of sea. The old and the new blend well together here - the main coastal road is home to all the modern restaurants, bars, clubs and shops while the old village, situated high up at the northern end of the resort, boasts pretty flower-clad cottages and a couple of tavernas. There really is something for everyone.

Things to see and do

• Take a boat trip  to Corfu Town, around the north-east coast and to the Blue Lagoon.
• The unspoiled beaches by the Korission Lake are only a gentle cycle ride away.
• Learn to windsurf or sail a catamaran, hire a canoe or pedalo
  on the beach

• Fantastic for both sun-bathing and swimming, the long stretch of sand and shingle here is hard to resist.
